Youth is Thriving
At the moment, there are about 50 kids at TV Geinburgia who are members in the age category of 5–18 years.
Many children, besides tennis, also play football or hockey. That means that most of them mainly play recreationally.
The kids know each other from school or from the village, which makes it easier to arrange to meet on the court together. We also see many parents making use of the family membership so they can come and play tennis with their child.
Aida and Nanja together form the youth committee. Both have a child who plays tennis at TV Geinburgia. They are always ready to answer your questions and to organize activities.
Activities
Because many kids, besides tennis, also play football and/or hockey, we try to organize as many separate activities as possible instead of the regular competition. There are several tournaments and events that we organize annually, such as the Pepernoten tournament, the parent–child tournament, the glow-in-the-dark event, and KNLTB competitions lasting a day or a few weeks.
We encourage parents to play on the court with their child and therefore often organize a parent–child tournament. In the club championships, several doubles teams (parent with child) even took part, and there were even two fathers with their sons in the final!
FAMIly Membership
The fun of playing together and spending a lot of time on the court is very important for the youth! And when you learn early, it often means you can continue for life — it’s just like riding a bike. Tennis can easily be combined with another sport.
There is nothing more fun than playing tennis together with your child(ren).
With the family membership familieabonnement we offer your child (up to 14 years old) a free membership, provided that at least one senior (parent) becomes a member. That makes playing tennis together even more attractive! With several children it becomes even more interesting, because if both parents become members, you can add up to three children up to 14 years old for free.
All membership options can be found here.

competition
We have one competition team in yellow (juniors 13–17 years) that has already become champion twice in a row. It is our wish to register more competition teams, because it is precisely the competitive aspect that excites the children. That is why we also participate in small orange/red/green competitions, for example in the summer.
Red, orange and green have already taken part a few times in small tournaments and, for example, the summer competition. You notice that when the kids can play tennis in a competition setting, it makes them better and increases their enjoyment of tennis.
Tennis Lessons
When you learn to play tennis, it becomes more fun. Many of our children train through the Inspire tennis school. Inspire offers high-quality training suitable for all ages and levels, whether you are a beginner or an experienced player. The trainers are energetic, passionate and determined.
Pedro (the tennis coach) has two juniors from the yellow competition team as assistants, and together they manage to get the children on the court with great enthusiasm!
The tennis lessons are usually at the end of the afternoon on Monday and/or Wednesday. In the winter months, the youth can continue training indoors.
